Systems

The Paxton systems we install.

Which one is right depends on the building, how many doors you need controlling and whether you want video alongside it. We'll tell you straight which one fits.

Paxton Net2

Paxton's established networked access control platform, managed from software on your own PC or server.

  • Multi-door and multi-site control
  • User groups, time zones and access levels
  • Full event history for every door
  • Works with Net2 Entry door stations

Best for: Sites with several doors, multiple user groups, or more than one building to keep in step.

Access + video

Paxton10

Paxton's browser-managed platform, bringing access control and video management together in a single system.

  • Access control and video in one interface
  • Managed from a browser, no client software
  • Video linked to door events
  • Scales as you add doors

Best for: Sites that want door control and cameras administered in one place rather than as two separate systems.

Coming soon

Paxton Solo

Paxton's newest access control system. Your smartphone acts as both the management interface and the physical key — no local server, PC or on-site network required.

  • Phone opens doors via secure Bluetooth
  • No on-site server, network or PC needed
  • Manage users and permissions from anywhere via app
  • Uses phone biometrics — face ID or fingerprint

Best for: Smaller sites and single-door premises that want cloud-connected access control without on-site infrastructure. The phone is the credential.

What we do

From first lookto ongoing support.

One team across the whole job. Nothing is handed to a subcontractor halfway through, and the people who surveyed the site are the people who hand it over.

Survey and system design

We look at the doors, the cabling routes, the power and the network, then specify a system that suits the building rather than a template.

Installation

Controllers, readers, door hardware, power supplies and cabling — fitted neatly and to a standard you'd be happy to show someone.

Configuration

Users, groups, access levels, time zones and door rules set up to match how your organisation actually operates day to day.

Testing and commissioning

Every door tested, every rule checked, and any fire or emergency release behaviour verified before we call it finished.

Upgrades and additions

Adding doors to an existing Paxton system, replacing ageing hardware, or moving from an older setup onto a current platform.

Handover and support

We show your team how to add users, change access and pull an event history — then stay contactable when something needs changing.

How it works

Eight steps, first call to working system.

You’ll know what’s happening at every stage, and what’s expected of you at each one.

  1. Step 1: Consultation

A conversation about what you're trying to control and why — one door, a building, or a site with several entrances.

  2. Step 2: Site assessment

We visit and look at the doors themselves: type, frame, existing locks, cable routes, power and network availability.

  3. Step 3: Requirements

Who needs access to what, and when. Contractors, deliveries, out-of-hours, fire routes — the rules the system has to enforce.

  4. Step 4: Installation

Controllers, readers, locks and cabling fitted, with the disruption to your working day kept to a minimum.

  5. Step 5: Configuration

Users, groups, access levels and time zones built into the system so it behaves the way your requirements described.

  6. Step 6: Testing

Every door tested against every rule, including emergency release and fail-safe behaviour, before anything is signed off.

  7. Step 7: Handover

We walk your team through day-to-day administration — adding a user, revoking a card, pulling an event history.

  8. Step 8: Support

We stay contactable. Systems change as staff and buildings change, and you shouldn't have to start over to adjust one.

Where it’s used

Almost any buildingwith a door worth controlling.

Offices

Main entrances, meeting floors and areas that shouldn't be open to every visitor who walks in.

Commercial premises

Front-of-house kept open and welcoming, back-of-house kept firmly closed.

Warehouses

Loading bays, stores and stock areas, with a record of who went where and when.

Schools and colleges

Controlled entrances and internal doors, with different rules for staff, pupils and contractors.

Industrial sites

Plant rooms, workshops and restricted areas where access needs to be limited to trained staff.

Residential developments

Communal entrances, bin and bike stores, and shared facilities across a development.

Multi-site businesses

Several buildings administered as one system, so a change is made once rather than everywhere.

Server and comms rooms

Single high-value doors where you need a reliable record of every entry.

Service area

Paxton installation across Stoke-on-Trent.

We're based in Stoke-on-Trent and this is where we work. That covers the six towns — Hanley, Burslem, Tunstall, Fenton, Longton and Stoke itself — along with Newcastle-under-Lyme, Kidsgrove, Trentham and the surrounding Staffordshire area.

Working locally is a deliberate choice. It means we can get to site for the survey without a long lead time, and just as importantly, we can get back out to you afterwards if something needs adjusting.

If you're somewhere near the edge of that area, ask. We'd rather tell you honestly whether we can look after you properly than take on a job we can't support.

Questions

Before you get in touch.

The things businesses usually want to know first.

Which Paxton system do I need?

It depends on how many doors you're controlling, whether you want video alongside it, and what kind of credentials suit your team. Paxton Solo is Paxton's newest system — phone-based and cloud-hosted, with no on-site server or network needed, and the smartphone is the key. For a single door where that approach works, Solo is often the simplest fit. Several doors, multiple user groups or more than one building generally points to Paxton10 or Net2. We'll look at the site and tell you which one genuinely fits rather than specifying the largest system we can.

Can you fit Paxton to our existing doors?

In most cases, yes. It depends on the door type, the frame and what's already fitted — some doors take a maglock, others suit an electric strike or a different lock entirely. That's one of the main things we're assessing during the site survey.

We already have a Paxton system. Can you add to it?

Yes. Adding doors, replacing ageing hardware and reconfiguring an existing Paxton installation are all part of what we do. If it was installed by someone else, we'll take a look at how it's currently set up before quoting anything.

How long does an installation take?

That depends almost entirely on the number of doors and how straightforward the cable routes are. A single door is a different job from a multi-door site with structured cabling. We give you a realistic timescale after the survey rather than a number before we've seen the building.

Do you cover our area?

We cover Stoke-on-Trent and the surrounding Staffordshire area, including Hanley, Burslem, Tunstall, Fenton, Longton, Newcastle-under-Lyme and Kidsgrove. We're a local business and we don't operate nationally. If you're near the edge of that area, ask us and we'll give you a straight answer.

What happens after the system is installed?

We test every door, then hand over properly — showing your team how to add and remove users, change access levels and pull an event history. After that we stay contactable, because buildings and staff change and the system needs to change with them.

Can access control work alongside visitor management?

They're complementary: access control governs who can open which door, while visitor management records who is on site and notifies their host. We build Entris, our own cloud visitor management platform, and can talk you through running the two together.
